In times of crisis, our true priorities come into focus. I've lived in eight cities and two countries, but it's here in Yellowknife that I've found my home. It took a moment of uncertainty about my child's future in the North to realize that the grass is indeed greener where we nurture it.

 

Our beloved territory has faced upheaval and uncertainty, and it's clear that change lies ahead. As residents, it can sometimes feel like we're reacting to events rather than steering our own course. It's time for us to take the lead, to be proactive, and to prioritize the growth, safety, prosperity, and potential of our territory and its people.

 

Bureaucracy, red tape has acted as a barrier to the growth of our private sector. Now is the moment to champion the potential of small and medium-sized businesses and take a pioneering role in the development of critical minerals and the green economy.

 

We must advance our technology, transportation, and utilities infrastructure. Food security, accessible education, and affordable housing are vital. I've dedicated my life to supporting those I love and advocating for what I cherish. I understand the challenges faced by families like ours and the gaps within our government.

 

Volunteering continues to show me the gaps and challenges that we need to address, even when we're not in crisis. Range Lake is a microcosm of our diverse territory, with residents from all walks of life. This is why I'm announcing my candidacy for the Range Lake riding. I believe that residents deserve a thoughtful voice, someone who prioritizes their well-being and opportunities.

 

Our challenges, from education to healthcare to housing, can not wait any longer. We find ourselves at a crossroads, where need is plenty, and resources are scarce. We must shift our leadership towards vision, creativity, and passion, fostering accountability and transparency within our government.

 

Consensus government is a gift, and it's time to make it work even better. I believe in the potential of the Northwest Territories to thrive. With your support, we can create a stronger, more prosperous territory and an accountable government that truly serves all residents.

 

Together, let's build a brighter future for Range Lake, for Yellowknife, and for the entire Northwest Territories. Thank you for your trust, and I'm eager to work with you to make our dreams a reality.
